Azure is Microsoft's cloud platform. Its practical advantage shows up in organizations already using Microsoft 365, Microsoft identity, and SQL Server, where hosting in Azure keeps logins and administration in one place.

Every technology has a range where it performs well and a range where something else is a better answer. We would rather say so up front.
A strong fit when
- Microsoft identity and infrastructure already matter to the organization
- .NET and SQL Server are part of the application
- Internal IT already manages Azure
