What Supabase is
Supabase bundles a hosted PostgreSQL database with login handling, file storage, and server-side functions. It reduces infrastructure work for small teams while leaving the data in a standard PostgreSQL database.
A managed platform built around PostgreSQL that can provide database, authentication, storage, realtime features, and server-side functions for suitable applications.
How Axis uses it
Because the data sits in ordinary PostgreSQL, a project that outgrows the platform can move without rewriting its database, which is why we are comfortable starting here.
