Case study

Lead Console and quoting system

A custom sales console built for a pest control company, replacing hand-calculated quotes and scattered follow-up notes with one tool the whole team works out of.

The problem

Quoting by hand, tracking by memory

The sales process ran on manual quoting and scattered lead tracking. Reps worked out pricing by hand, follow-ups were recorded inconsistently, and there was no single place to see where a lead stood. That produced quoting errors, pricing that varied between reps, and leads that quietly went cold between first contact and close.

We designed and built a web-based lead console from the ground up: one tool that handles lead intake, quote generation, and pipeline tracking for the entire sales team.

The demo runs entirely in your browser with sample data. Nothing you type is sent anywhere, and clearing your browser data resets it.

What we built

Core capabilities

Six pieces that together removed the guesswork from quoting and follow-up.

Dynamic quote calculator

Pricing is suggested from property square footage and termite linear footage, then shown side by side as quarterly, semi-monthly, and bundled options with monthly and first-year totals.

Bundling and discount rules

Bundle and pre-pay discounts apply automatically, so every rep quotes the same way without doing arithmetic on a notepad.

Admin-configurable pricing

Managers update base rates, tiers, and add-on pricing in one place and the change reaches the whole team immediately.

Lead pipeline tracking

Every lead carries a status, a running note history, and a follow-up counter, so any rep can pick up where another left off.

Role-based access

Managers can adjust pricing, manage users, and override quotes. Reps get a focused workspace with the parts they need.

Price override auditing

Any manual change to a quote is logged, which gives ownership a clear view of pricing consistency across the team.

Inside the tool

Pipeline and performance

Lead Desk pipeline view listing leads with status, owner, quote value, and follow-up timing
Lead Desk: every open lead with its owner, quote value, status, and how overdue the next follow-up is.
Performance dashboard showing total leads, closing rate, sold revenue, and leads by status
Performance: closing rate, sold revenue, average deal, and open pipeline, filtered by user and date range.

Why it mattered

What changed for the team

  • Every quote follows the same pricing logic, so under-quoting and math errors stopped.
  • Pricing changes are made once and apply team-wide the same day.
  • Leads are trackable end to end, so follow-up improved and fewer leads went cold.
  • New reps ramp faster because the tool walks them through the correct quoting process.

The console became part of the daily sales workflow and supported the team through sustained high close rates and six figures in contract value.

How it is built

Under the hood

Front end
HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, deployed as a lightweight single-page app
Back end
Serverless functions handling authentication, lead storage, and settings
Data
Persistent shared storage so every user sees the same records
Hosting
Deployed independently, with no third-party CRM licensing cost
